The Digital Impact Initiative provides expertise and infrastructure that sharpens all progressive digital investments to effectively reach and turn out voters.
The Initiative has three goals:
We coordinate and support digital work with partners across the progressive movement, and up and down the ballot, to maximize our collective impact.
We’re training the next generation of digital strategists, investing in our allies, sharing tools and resources, and creating a longer horizon for innovation and learning.
Research, innovation, and testing ahead of Election Day is necessary to optimize our work. These early investments allow us to answer big questions about how and when we communicate online, especially in a media ecosystem that is changing frequently.
Our investments aim to innovate and improve digital communication for the future, through a research and election feedback loop. By conducting post-election analysis, running early-cycle randomized controlled tests ahead of elections, and on-year field experiments, we improve our work and the work of progressive allies by distributing best practices and lessons learned.

We’ve trained 3,000 partners and allies who are now leading digital programs at hundreds of organizations. Request a Training.
Our fellowship program gives individuals from historically underrepresented backgrounds hands-on training and professional experience to prepare them for a successful digital career.
To support the effective use of digital at the grassroots level, we grant to organizations that are looking to invest and grow in the digital advertising space but need technical support and funding to build these programs.

The digital landscape has democratized, meaning that there are more advertisers than ever before. To date, investments on digital have largely been cyclical and decentralized. Collaborating with other organizations means research budgets go further and duplication is minimized. The Digital Impact Initiative is filling that gap.
AdHawk is our suite of competitive intelligence products that track competitors’ online spend, messaging, inventory, and targeting tactics. The AdHawk platform equips progressive advertisers with data to inform their messaging and targeting tactics to reach voters more effectively.
